Blues is een album dat niet alleen een mooi overzicht presenteert van Rory in zijn vele facetten als bluesgitarist en zanger. Het is een bijzonder mooi eerbetoon geworden aan de Ier die, ook lang na zijn overlijden, met zijn muziek de blues in de harten van liefhebbers over de hele wereld wist te kleuren. Luister naar de manier waarop Rory je meenam in de wereld van de blues. Of je nu een liefhebber bent van blues, of dat je John Lennon was die hoog opgaf van de Ier na Rory een keer live te hebben gezien, de Rolling Stones die Rory graag hadden ingelijfd of Brian May, Johnny Marr, Slash en Alex Lifeson die de invloed van Rory op hun muziek tot op de dag van vandaag allemaal duidelijk benoemen: Rory was een hele grote gitarist en dit is een tijdloos document geworden dat Rory tot eer strekt. Met keurig verzorgde liner notes is het daarbij ook nog eens een uiterst verzorgde uitgave.
