Als bij Damon Albarn de Blur vermoeidheid optreedt, en de frontman meer dan genoeg van die continue strijd heeft om bovenaan de hitlijsten te belanden, zoekt hij voldoening bij het opgezette hobbyproject Gorillaz, welke tot dezelfde gewaardeerde klasse als Blur uitgroeit.
