Drummer/componist Jake Long, de oprichter van het geweldige Maisha, overtuigt volop met zijn eerste soloalbum City Swamp. Ingespeeld met muzikanten waar hij ook al met Maisha mee samenwerkte, onderhand klinkende namen uit de Britse jazz, maakt dit van City Swamp een droomsolodebuut. There is A Place, de debuutplaat van Maisha werd gevoed door de spiritual jazz van Alice Coltrane en Pharoah Sanders en de daarop volgende samenwerking met Gary Bartz (het album Night Dreamer) sloot daar naadloos op aan.
